On 16 September, the Canberra Times reported that the ACT Labor Government will consider introducing car-free days to Canberra.
“Having a day to use this road space for walking and cycling, supported by public transport, gives a sense of the kind of city that emerges when cars are de-prioritised.”

More needs to be done to stop crime in Weston Creek.
The ACT has the lowest number of police per capita and the lowest police funding per capita in Australia.
Since 2010, ACT Labor has gradually starved our police of resources, resulting in 75 fewer frontline officers today.
Weston Creek has grown, but our police numbers have not.
Our police are doing the best they can, but with such limited resources they cannot be everywhere they are needed.
